This morning I woke up to my favorite radio station morning talk show and one thing that was brought up was two students shot in Wisconsin by Police Officers. This was in two different schools and two different incidents. One on Monday and one on Tuesday. Now I know the knee jerk reaction is “What but guns.” And you would be wrong. Lets look at each incident. I am going to link to a CBS story not because its CBS but in spite of it being CNN.
One, not sure which day, but the first I am going to discuss is an incident where a student attacked and stabbed the schools Resource Officer in their office. The student was shot and both were taken and treated at the hospital, from the context it doesnt sound like a simple jab but a serious attack. Here we have an incident where a student believes its OK to attack and stab a police office. Now if we take away any mental illness aspects (Which I admit should not be but normal media and liberal agenda about anti police and guns will) what would possess a person to think its ok. Well according to many social justice propeganda police are the antagonists and they should be abolished. So yes if there was no police officer at the school there would be no police stabbing, but who else would this student feel compelled to stab or attack.
Second incident involved an officer woudning a student who had a pellet gun and aimed it at the police. I know you on the left will say, “Pellet gun is not a danger compared to a real gun.” And it would be correct but a true strawman to the situation. Its Hindsight over complicating a serious situation. In the incident the student was asked to comply with police requests to remove and place said weapon on teh ground. The student instead drew the weapon and pointed it at police. Again a situation that escallated simply because the student did not respect the police and show trust. We have a systemic problem of hate and anti-police teachings from the left that it is making these situations worse in my opinion.
What we need is to get back to understanding polices role in society. We need to get back to innocent until proven guilty and trust the police by teaching not only the police how to behave better but the citezenry that if we work to deescalate situations these singuloar events can be avoided, not always, but we can have a better track record. Now I am not advocating Blind complience to the government here but I am saying that if we teach Hate in any kind, whether its against police or race or political belief then when we get Hate as an outcome of normal behavior then you shouldnt be surprised.
